Turning Tech into Characters
TCS Rapid Labs wanted a video that explained what they do and made people actually care. They're a future-facing innovation wing under TCS, working with things like AI, robotics and blockchain. The brief was simple on paper: get people to understand Rapid Labs and remember it. But they also wanted something that could grab attention in three seconds and work without sound.
I suggested we bring in colourful robot characters during pre-production. It felt like a bold move for a tech MNC, but I knew it would humanise the story and make the video more engaging. The team loved the idea. The characters helped break down complex tech into something visual, playful and easy to connect with.
Designing Around the Noise
I illustrated the scenes and characters in Photoshop and Illustrator, then brought them to life in After Effects. The final edit and polish were done in Premiere Pro, keeping pacing tight and screen text minimal for silent viewing.
This project taught me how to sell a bold idea, design for clarity, and still keep things fun in a corporate setting.
